Comments: I was a Huey Pilot with "Snoopy Flight", HQ Avn Section 3rd Bde 1Cav Div, during the Battle of Hue, Feb 1968. We flew in support of all the 7th Cavalry (Infantry) Regiments of the 3rd Bde during this battle. At the time we were based at Camp Evans. I was a "new guy" at the time, and my AC was Al Eason, who taught this new guy how to fly "in country". I remember during the battle coming accross the Guns a Go Go aircraft, blown up in the field North of Hue, just off Route 1 and asking Al about it. He told me what you guys were about. I was impressed. Nice web site you have. I still talk with Al Eason after all this time. My call sign in Snoopy Flight was "Bones". I was Class 67-19 and 67-23. I retired in 1997 as CW4 after 31 years. My Business Website Homepage is passcoded. Code # is 1361352 for access.

Comments: I am proud to say I had the honor and privilege of being associated with the crew of "Cost Of Living" and the other soldiers of "Guns A-GO-GO." They were all a part of my exposure to the military and the lasting friendship that developed will never leave my thoughts. I remember that morning when "145" was scheduled to fly off on a mission and I was scheduled to fly but was pulled off at the last moment because of crew rest, so I was replaced. Everyone wanted to fly because it got you away from the monotony of base camp; you're out soaring the skies and the history we were making was a part of being members of the "Guns A-GO-GO." Even today there are no words that can express the feelings and thoughts that assaulted my mind when the news of the faith of "145" reached base camp.

Comments: Frank- The artwork came thru jest fine, no zits or hits. "Momma's Prayers" is most certainly a good one for former grunts to put on their wall. Frank, many thanks for the good art works! Readers, buy the man's prints. They are mighty fine works and capture the spirit of our close air support. To other former grunts- Help the project along by telling your "It saved my ass..." story. Don't need to put it here if you don't want, send it to Frank as private commo is an option. The blade heads most certainly need to hear comments of appreciation, from us "Satisfied Customers". So, sound off now! Wishing all that read this, Happy Holidays! Hank, former D-1-12 Cav

Comments: I recieved an email from Frank White in response to my signing the guestbook and said that I knew PFC Pike Mayo. The email asked me to respond with my memories of him. The best one I can remember is while we were waiting to transfer from Ft. Rucker to Ft. Eustas. He was the first one of us to be promoted to PFC so he decided to go out and celebrate the promotion. He got drunk and ended up getting busted the same day that he had been promoted.
