"Gary Rodrigues. He was our ramp gunner or No.5 as we sometimes called it. It took someone special, I believe, to be a ramp gunner. You had to have keen senses with all that spinning around. I was given a brief trial run as a ramp gunner, and was pulled immediately on a training run. Everything is always @ 6 o'clock. ---Gary could do it, as he could most any task. Very athletic and, I think, a football scholarship was waiting for him back home. A good looking guy and with all his qualities, made his loss all the more tragic." ...David Knight
